Scott Ceely

Scott’s career in cyber security spans more than 25 years. Formerly in technical, managerial and diplomatic roles in the Australian Federal Government, Scott spent the second half of his career in private industry, where he built and led a number of businesses. In recent years, Scott has been leveraging his experience to advise and invest in organisations, and mentor individuals. With a particular interest in clean energy, digital safety and sustainable technologies, he serves on a variety of advisory boards. Originally from Australia, Scott recently moved to the UK with his partner and their young children. He wants to use his time at Cambridge to re-imagine what a safe and secure internet could look like. Rather than be a tool that drives society apart, how can we harness the positive attributes of the internet and the opportunities it provides? Can redefining our relationship with technology provide a safer and more secure experience for all users?
