‘Tokunboh has dedicated the past two decades to investing in businesses that foster equity, fairness, and inclusion to create wealth and transform lives.
She was an early pioneer of socially responsible and impact investing, especially in Africa, and forged a path for investing in Fintechs to drive financial inclusion and injecting gender consciousness into the investment process to create superior returns.
She is a co-founder and Managing Director of Alitheia Capital, a female-led private equity firm, one of the first in Africa to pioneer impact investing in private equity, and is a co-founder of Alitheia IDF, where she raised over $100m to invest in female-led businesses in Africa.
Alongside her investing roles she was a founding trustee of The Earthshot Prize, is Board Chair of Prudential Zenith Life Insurance, was the Chairman of the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, and is a frequent speaker on the topics of private equity and impact investing.
During her time in Cambridge ‘Tokunboh is looking to explore the role of technologies, particularly AI, in the possibility of Global South economies achieving the sustainable development goals.
